Our long-lasting tradition in manufacturing outdoor advertising started in 1949 in Offenbach, a city located within the heart of Germany. Nordlicht took off as part of the past-war recovery and built-up an own “Economic Miracle”.
A new era began – the era of neon signs. Mr. Kurt Krusche believed in the enormous growth potential and invested in the former market niche. As a result he founded what was later to become Nordlicht Licht- und Werbetechnik GmbH.
At that time Mr. Willi Jaschek managed Nordlicht very successfully. Besides his passion for Nordlicht, the “Hero of Mexico” was an outstanding sportsman. He competed during the Olympics in 1968 in the multidiscipline competition. His strong can-do attitude and enormous willpower helped him to compete despite a torn Achilles tendon. To this day, his perfection and willpower became an important part of Nordlicht’s success.
Each of Nordlicht’s experienced professionals is responsible for our success. The loyalty to the firm is unique: Most of our employees have designed and constructed for more than 20 years and continue our tradition.
Besides present traditional neon-sign advertising, we offer an extensive range of advertising technology such as installations of individual letter design, including LED banners, illuminated billboard banners as well as signs and direction indicators. Special construction projects including tower clocks, and information displays can also be requested at any time as well as breath-taking innovative neon art designs.
The original principle “Illuminated and Outdoor Advertising from Offenbach, central Germany, for Europe and the World” is as valid as it ever was.
